【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시의회(의장 김일만)는 6일 오전 시의회 1층에서 신년인사회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

시 의회에 따르면 이날 행사는 최근 발생한 제주항공 사고 희생자들에 대한 묵념으로 애도의 시간을 가지며 차분하고 엄숙한 분위기 속에서 진행됐다.

신년인사회에는 김일만 의장을 비롯한 시의원, 이강덕 시장과 서재원 정무특보 등 간부 공무원, 경북도의회 이동업 문화환경위원장과 이칠구 의원을 비롯한 도의원, 공원식 포항지역발전협의회장, 진병수·박문하·문명호 전 시의회 의장, 한명희 의정회장을 비롯한 전직 시의원 등 총 80여명이 참석했다.

의원들과 내빈들은 새해 덕담을 나누고 의정철학을 담은 운외창천(雲外蒼天 : 어두운 구름 밖으로 나오면 맑고 푸른하늘이 나타난다)이 새겨진 시루떡을 자르며 2025년 포항시의회 의정 운영 방향과 비전을 공유했다.

김일만 의장은 신년인사 통해“지난 한 해 우리는 지역 철강산업의 위기와 국내외 정세불안 등 많은 어려움 속에서도 바이오·수소 분야에서 특화단지로 지정되고 전국 최초로 국가첨단전략산업 3개 분야에 선정되는 등 신산업 분야에서 실질적이고 가시적인 성과를 거두며 지역 발전의 새로운 큰 틀을 만들어 냈다”며,“을사년 새해에는 이러한 성과들을 발판 삼아 더 큰 도약의 원년이 될 수 있도록 힘과 지혜를 모아나가야 한다”고 강조했다.

이어“올 한해 포항시의회는‘운외창천’의 자세로 포항이 직면한 고난과 역경을 극복하고 지역발전과 시민행복을 위해 모든 열정과 노력을 다하겠다”며 각오를 다졌다.

한편, 시의회는 오는 2월 4일부터 13일까지 10일간 2025년 새해 첫 임시회를 열고 본격적인 의정활동에 들어갈 예정이다.

Pohang City Council Holds New Year's Greetings for 2025

In his New Year’s address, Chairman Kim Il-man said, “Last year, despite many difficulties such as the crisis in the local steel industry and domestic and international political instability, we achieved tangible and visible results in new industries such as being designated as a specialized complex in the bio and hydrogen sectors and being selected for the first three national high-tech strategic industries in the country, thereby creating a new framework for regional development.” He emphasized, “In the new year of Eulsa, we must gather strength and wisdom to make this a year of even greater leap forward, using these achievements as a stepping stone.”

He continued, “This year, Pohang City Council will overcome the hardships and adversities that Pohang faces with the attitude of ‘un-oe-chang-cheon’ and devote all of its passion and effort to regional development and the happiness of its citizens.”

Meanwhile, the city council will hold its first extraordinary session of the new year of 2025 for 10 days from February 4 to 13 and begin its full-fledged legislative activities.
