【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=(재)경북테크노파크(이하 경북TP)는 8일 포항시청 대회의실에서 ‘경북 전기차 사용후 핵심부품 순환이용 규제자유특구 추진계획’에 대한 공청회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 공청회는 중소벤처기업부에 신규 규제자유특구 지정신청을 위한 사전 행정절차로서 특구 대상지역 주민, 기업 등 이해관계자들에게 현장에서 규제자유특구 사업계획을 설명하고 다양한 의견들을 청취하기 위해 개최했다.

공청회에서는 ‘경북 전기차 사용후 핵심부품 순환이용 규제자유특구’ 사업계획에 대한 내용과 함께 지정 필요성, 실증연구 내용 및 향후 추진일정 등을 설명했다. 

이어서 특구계획에 참여하는 기업들을 대상으로 규제자유특구 제도소개와 구체적인 사업화 지원 방안 등을 설명했다. 끝으로 참석한 주민과 기업을 대상으로 질의응답의 시간을 가졌다. 

본 특구 추진을 희망하는 포항시는 두 번째 규제자유특구 지정을 목표로 준비하고 있으며, 기존의 전기차 배터리 클러스터와 연계협력을 통해 전기차 핵심부품 순환이용 혁신클러스터로 확대 및 발전을 목적으로 이번 특구를 기획했다. 

경북TP 관계자는 “경북은 자동차 부품 제조기업 밀집 지역으로 전기차 핵심부품(배터리, 인버터, 모터, 감속기)의 재제조·재사용·재활용 산업의 생태계 조성이 필요하다”며 “규제자유특구를 통해 모빌리티 분야 자원순환을 선도해 나갈 수 있도록 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.
