최상목 대통령 권한대행 경제부총리 겸 기획재정부 장관이 9일 오는 설 명절 직전인 '1월 27일 임시공휴일 지정'을 검토하겠다고 밝혔다.

최 권한대행은 이날 오전 서울 종로구 정부서울청사에서 열린 국정현안관계장관회의 겸 경제관계장관회의에서 "국민 여러분께 충분한 휴식 기간을 드리고 국내 여행을 촉진키 위해 국민의견수렴을 바탕으로 27일 임시공휴일 지정을 검토하겠다"고 했다.

그러면서 "연휴 기간 고속도로 통행료 면제 등 교통 편의를 지원하고 각종 문화시설도 무료 개방하겠다"고 했다.

이어 "중소기업·소상공인에 39조 명절 자금을 공급하고 각종 민생사업을 설 전에 최대한 신속 지원하겠다"며 "1월까지 79만 명 이상 직접 일자리를 신속 채용하고 근로장려금·체불임금 대지급금 등도 설 전 조기 지급한다"고 밝혔다.
