【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=이육사문학관은 오는 1월 16일 문학관 다목적실에서는 이육사 순국 81주기 추념식을 개최한다고 10일 밝혔다.

이육사 시인은 1904년 음력 4월 4일 경상북도 안동시 도산면 원천리에서 태어나 일제에 저항하다 수많은 옥고를 치루었고, 1944년 1월 16일 북경 감옥에서 순국했다.

이육사는 시를 비롯해 시조, 한시, 평론, 번역 등 다양한 갈래의 글을 발표하였으며, 조선혁명군사정치간부학교를 제1기로 수료하여 무장투쟁을 준비하기도 했다.

이육사 시인은 한국을 대표하는 독립운동가로, 안동시는 그의 뜻을 기리기 위해 그의 고향에 2004년 이육사문학관을 세워 이육사의 정신을 이어가고 있다.

이번 추념식에는 이육사 시인의 종손녀이기도 한 소프라노 이영규씨가 이육사의 시 가곡 ‘광야’를 선보이며, 이육사 시인의 딸 이옥비 여사가 이육사의 시 ‘꽃’을 낭송한다.

Lee Yuk-sa Literature Museum to Hold 81st Anniversary Memorial Ceremony for Lee Yuk-sa’s Martyrdom

The Lee Yuk-sa Literature Museum announced on the 10th that it will hold the 81st anniversary memorial ceremony for Lee Yuk-sa’s martyrs in the multipurpose room of the museum on January 16th.

Poet Lee Yuk-sa was born on April 4th, 1904 in Woncheon-ri, Dosan-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. He endured numerous imprisonments while resisting the Japanese, and died in Beijing Prison on January 16th, 1944.

Lee Yuk-sa published various types of writings including poetry, sijo, Chinese poetry, critiques, and translations, and he also prepared for armed struggle by graduating from the first class of the Joseon Revolutionary Military and Political Cadre School.

Poet Lee Yuk-sa is a representative Korean independence activist, and Andong City established the Lee Yuk-sa Literature Museum in his hometown in 2004 to honor his will and continue his spirit.

At this memorial service, soprano Lee Young-gyu, who is also the great-granddaughter of poet Lee Yuk-sa, will perform Lee Yuk-sa’s poem, “Gwangya,” and Lee Ok-bi, the poet’s daughter, will recite Lee Yuk-sa’s poem, “Flower.”
