이번 단속은 축산물에 대한 소비자의 신뢰를 높이고, 부정·불량 축산물 유통을 방지하기 위해 추진한다.

단속 대상은 소비자가 주로 찾는 관내 축산물 판매업소 59개소로, 주요 점검 사항은 △소비기한 경과 제품 판매 여부 △냉동육을 냉장육으로 속여 판매하는 행위 △축산물 위생 취급 상태 △축산물이력제 준수 여부 등이다.

단속 결과, 경미한 위반 사항은 현장에서 시정 및 계도로 조치하되, 중대한 위반 사항이 적발될 경우 관련 법규에 따라 사법 처리할 예정이다.

윤경희 청송군수는 "이번 단속은 군민들이 안심하고 축산물을 구매할 수 있도록 부정·불량 축산물 유통을 근절하려는 지속적인 노력의 일환"이라며, "축산물 판매업소에서도 위생적이고 안전한 축산물 유통을 위해 자발적으로 협조해 주시길 바란다."고 당부했다.
