【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구가 ‘설명절 전통시장 장보기 행사’를 실시할 예정이라고 10일 밝혔다.

오는 13일부터 23일까지 이어지는 ‘설명절 전통시장 장보기 행사’는 소비심리위축으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 전통시장에 활력을 불어넣고자 마련됐다.

이에 따라 남구는 각 부서별로 지정된 8개 전통시장(관문상가시장, 대명시장, 봉덕신시장, 성당시장, 영선시장, 명덕시장, 대명중앙시장, 광덕시장)에서 물품을 구매하고 상인들과 소통하는 시간을 가진다.

행사에는 구청 직원들 뿐만 아니라 iM뱅크, 도로교통공단 대구지부 등 전통시장과 자매결연을 맺은 기관·단체에서도 자율적으로 장보기에 동참한다.

또한 KB국민은행 대구경북지역그룹에서 사랑나눔 후원 행사로 남구 내 전통시장에서 4,200만원 상당의 후원 물품을 구입해 지역 복지관 등 저소득 가구에 전달하며 이웃 사랑을 실천할 예정이다.

조재구 남구청장은 “설맞이 장보기 행사 동참이 만성적인 침체에 어려움을 겪고 있는 전통시장에 풍성하고 따뜻한 정을 나누는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며 “많은 분들이 전통시장을 자주 찾아와 시장이 더욱 활력을 얻을 수 있도록 힘을 실어주시길 바란다”고 전했다.
