【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 임시공휴일 지정으로 설 연휴가 길어짐에 따라 관광객 유치를 위해 다양한 프로그램을 마련했다.

20일 포항시에 따르면 시는 설 연휴 동안 포항을 방문하는 귀성객과 관광객의 편의를 위해 관광지 대부분을 정상 운영하며, 다채로운 행사도 마련한다.

설 당일 사방기념공원, 보경사, 오어사둘레길, 포항운하크루즈, 스페이스워크, 해상스카이워크, 이가리닻전망대, 장기읍성&유배문화체험촌, 호미곶 새천년기념관 등은 모두 정상 운영되며, 호미곶 새천년기념관은 설 명절 연휴 기간 무료로 운영된다.

오는 28일과 30일 연오랑세오녀테마공원에서는 설 명절 민속놀이 체험과 소원지 쓰기 등 체험행사가 열리며 귀비고 전시실에서는 기획전 ‘선과 선의 우주’가 열린다.

영일대해수욕장에서는 29일 포항전통문화 한마당이 열리며, 구룡포과메기문화관에서는 25일부터 2월 2일까지(29일은 휴관) 민속놀이 체험과 윷놀이 대항전을 즐길 수 있다.

설 연휴 마지막 날인 30일 송도 해수욕장에서는 오전 11시부터 오후 4시까지 투호, 비석치기, 딱지치기, 윷놀이, 공기놀이 등 민속놀이 체험을 마련했다. 또한 포항네컷(포토존), 한복 체험 등 이벤트와 MBTI별 나에게 맞는 특별한 포항 관광지 추천 등 관광 홍보부스를 운영한다.

관광객들이 많이 찾는 죽도시장 부근 5개소의 공영주차장과 대해 시장, 큰동해시장, 북부시장 공영주차장은 설 연휴 기간 1시간 무료로 이용할 수 있도록 해 접근성을 높였다.

이와 함께 지난 15일부터 동해선 개통 기념해 포항을 찾는 관광객들을 위해 여가 플랫폼 ‘야놀자’와 협력해 최대 40% 숙박 할인 이벤트를 진행했으며, 큰 관심 속에 지난 19일 행사가 선착순 종료됐다.
