【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=계명대(총장 신일희)는 고용노동부와 한국고용정보원이 주관하는 대학일자리플러스센터 사업 연차 평가에서 9년 연속(대학일자리센터 6년 포함) 우수(최고등급) 대학으로 선정됐다고 22일 밝혔다.

학교측에 따르면 대학일자리플러스센터는 기존 대학일자리센터의 서비스 대상 및 기능을 개편해 재학생뿐만 아니라 졸업생과 지역 청년까지 지원 대상을 확대하고, 청년고용정책 안내와 고용센터·지자체 등 유관기관과 연계한 프로그램을 진행할 수 있도록 고용노동부가 지원하는 사업이다.

계명대 대학일자리플러스센터는 2015년 대학일자리센터 시범 대학으로 선정된 이후, 대구 지역 거점 센터로서 다양한 유관기관, 기업체, 지역 대학과의 협력을 통해 청년고용 거버넌스를 구축해왔다.

이 과정에서 △진로·취업 상담 고도화 △기업체 및 졸업 동문 현직자 중심 멘토링 △거점형 특화 프로그램 △지역 대학 및 유관기관 연계 취업 박람회 △ 졸업생 특화 프로그램(전국 8개 대학 시범 운영) 등 실질적인 청년 맞춤형 프로그램을 운영하며 참가자들로부터 높은 호응을 얻었다.

또한, 2024년에 시범 운영된 지역 특성화고와 비진학 고교생들의 성공적인 노동시장 진입을 지원하는 ‘고교생 맞춤형 고용서비스 사업’에서도 최고등급인 우수대학으로 평가받았다.

이성용 대학일자리플러스센터장은 “계명대는 지난 9년간 진로·취업 분야에서 최상의 서비스를 제공하며, 학생과 청년들의 성공적인 취업을 돕는 데 앞장서왔다”며, “앞으로도 대구 지역 취업 유관기관과의 긴밀한 협력을 통해 재학생, 졸업생, 지역 청년들이 미래를 준비할 수 있도록 가교 역할을 충실히 수행하겠다”고 밝혔다.
