윤석열 대통령을 구속 기소하는 검찰을 보고 선배 검사로서 실망과 부끄러움을 금할 길이 없습니다.

검찰은 수사 절차의 적법성을 확보하고 피해자의 인권을 보장하기 위해 출현한 공익적 수사 지휘기관입니다. 공수처의 내란죄 수사권 여부, 체포와 구속 영장의 적법성 등 여러가지 문제에도 불구하고, 공수처가 송부해온 그대로 구속기소 한 것은 검찰이 자기의 존재 가치를 스스로 포기한 것입니다. 시간이 흘러가면 훗날 불법 수사에 관여하였던 사람들은  반드시 응분의 책임을 지게 될 것입니다.

당장은 당혹스럽지만 깨우친 국민들까지 자포자기하면 안 됩니다. 앞으로는 변호인단이 여러 법률적 문제와 수사의 불법성에 대해서 문제를 제기하며 잘 대처해나갈 것으로 믿습니다. 그리고 여러분은 저와 함께, 가혹한수준의 인권침해를 당하며 구치소에서 외롭게 인내하는 윤석열 대통령과 수고하는 변호인단을 계속 응원합시다.
