【브레이크뉴스 영천】이성현 기자=영천시(시장 최기문)가 지난해 12월 1일부터 진행한 ‘희망2025 나눔캠페인’ 이 역대 최대금액인 10억 2600만원을 모금했다.

4일 시에 따르면 고물가와 경기침체로 유난히 힘든 시기임에도 어려운 이웃을 돕고자 하는 시민들의 온정이 끊이지 않았으며, 개인, 단체, 기업, 출향인 등 각계각층에서 성금 모금에 동참했다.

그 결과 2025년 1월 31일 기준 목표금액인 6억원을 초과한 10억 2600만원이 모였으며, 목표액 대비 171%를 달성했다.

최기문 영천시장은 “어려운 경제 상황 속에서도 모든 시민이 한마음 한뜻으로 뜻을 모아주어 이룩한 쾌거라고 생각한다. 지역사회에 애정과 관심을 갖고 성금 기부에 동참해주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드린다”며, “시민들의 따뜻한 나눔은 어려운 이웃들에게 크나큰 힘과 위로가 될 것이라 생각하며, 앞으로도 복지사각지대 없는 행복영천을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.

모금된 성금은 경북사회복지공동모금회와 함께 지역 내 저소득가정, 사회복지시설의 복지사업 및 지역주민을 위한 맞춤형복지사업 등 도움이 필요한 다양한 분야에 쓰일 계획이다.

한편, 시는 ‘희망2025 나눔캠페인’은 종료되었으나, 성금 모금에 대한 시민들의 뜨거운 관심과 열기로 설연휴 이후에도 성금 기부가 이어지고 있다고 전했다.

The collected donations will be used in various areas in need, such as welfare projects for low-income families and social welfare facilities in the region, and customized welfare projects for local residents, in cooperation with the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.

Meanwhile, the city said that although the ‘Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign’ has ended, donations are continuing even after the Lunar New Year holiday due to the citizens’ passionate interest and enthusiasm for fundraising.
