【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=경상북도의회 윤종호 의원(구미6, 국민의힘)이 2024 대한민국 지방자치평가연계 의정정책대상에서 광역 의회 대상을 수상하는 영광을 차지했다.

여의도정책연구원은 본격적인 지방시대를 맞아 지방의원의 역할이 강조되고 있는 가운데 지방자치 발전과 의회의 효율적 의정활동을 지원하고자 지방자치에 기여하고 주민 삶의 질 향상과 지역 발전 정책 발굴 등 공헌한 바가 큰 의원에게 매년 엄격한 심사를 거쳐 수상자를 선정하고 있다.

윤종호 도의원은 경상북도교육청 학생 통학 지원, 학교 밖 청소년 지원, 학생선수 학습권 보장, 장애학생 문화예술 및 체육활동 지원 등 학생들의 학습권 보장과 교육여건 개선을 위한 의정활동으로 높은 평가를 받았다.

특히, 학교산림교육, 청소년 경제교육, 탄소중립 환경교육 등 미래 세대의 역량 강화와 지속 가능한 발전을 위한 정책활동에서 탁월하다는 평가를 받았다.

윤종호 도의원은 구미 임봉초 폐교 용지에 경북 유일의 400억원 규모인 유아교육진흥원 유치, 산동고등학교와 (가칭)해마루고등학교 신설을 끌어냈으며, 전교 40명의 산동중학교를 새롭게 신축하여 전교생 200여명의 학교로 만들었다.

또한 동네 골목길 주차장 확보, 학생들의 안전한 통학로 개선 등 지역 민원도 소홀하지 않고 주민의 목소리를 가까이서 듣고 적극적으로 해결하고자 발로 뛰는 지역일꾼으로 정평이 났다.

이러한 역량을 인정받아 지난 한 해 동안 우수의정대상(대한민국시도의장협의회), 정명대상(한국유전자중앙회)에 이어 이번 의정정책대상 등 3관왕을 달성했다.

Gyeongbuk Provincial Assemblyman Yoon Jong-ho Wins 2024 Local Autonomy Evaluation Legislative Policy Award

Gyeongbuk Provincial Assemblyman Yoon Jong-ho (Gumi 6, People Power Party) won the Metropolitan Assembly Grand Prize at the 2024 Republic of Korea Local Autonomy Evaluation Linked Legislative Policy Award.

With the full-fledged local era approaching, the role of local assemblymen is being emphasized, and in order to support the development of local autonomy and efficient legislative activities of the assembly, the Yeouido Policy Research Institute selects awardees through strict screening every year for assemblymen who have contributed greatly to local autonomy, improving the quality of life of residents, and discovering regional development policies.

Assemblyman Yoon Jong-ho received high praise for his legislative activities to guarantee students' right to learn and improve educational conditions, such as supporting students' commuting to school at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education, supporting out-of-school youth, guaranteeing student athletes' right to learn, and supporting cultural, artistic, and physical education activities for students with disabilities.

In particular, he was evaluated as outstanding in policy activities for strengthening the capabilities of future generations and sustainable development, such as school forest education, youth economic education, and carbon-neutral environmental education.

Assemblyman Yoon Jong-ho attracted the only 40 billion won Early Childhood Education Promotion Center in Gyeongbuk Province to the closed site of Gumi Im Bong Elementary School, and established Sandong High School and (tentative name) Haemaru High School. He also built a new Sandong Middle School with 40 students, making it a school with 200 students.

He also has a reputation as a local worker who does not neglect local complaints, such as securing parking lots in neighborhood alleys and improving students’ safe routes to school, and actively listens to the voices of residents and works hard to resolve them.

In recognition of his capabilities, he achieved three crowns, including the Excellent Legislative Award (Korea Provincial Council of Mayors), the Jeongmyeong Award (Korea Genetics Association), and this year’s Legislative Policy Award, over the past year.
