【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시 곳곳에서 12일 정월대보름을 맞아 다채로운 대보름 행사가 개최된다.

11일 포항시에 따르면 행사 장소는 북구는 ▲청하면 월포해수욕장, 남구는 ▲해도동 형산강 체육공원 ▲연일읍 형산강변 둔치주차장 ▲동해면 도구해수욕장 ▲청림동 청림해변 ▲장기면 양포항 양포보건진료소 인근 등이다.

해도동 형산강변에서는 10m의 대형 달집태우기, 시민의 안녕과 풍년을기원하는 안전 기원제, 풍물단 공연, 고고장구, 소원지 쓰기 등 다채로운 행사를 마련한다.

청하면에서는 초청 가수공연, 민속놀이 체험, 기원제, 면민 화합한마당잔치 등이 진행되며, 일몰시간에 맞춰 행사의 하이라이트인 달집태우기 행사가 펼쳐질 예정이다.

또한 연일읍, 동해면, 청림동, 장기면도 달이 떠오르는 시각 달집을 태우고 소원성취를 기원하는 소원지 작성 등 다양한 세시풍속 행사를 진행한다.

포항시는 행사가 6곳에서 동시에 진행되면서 많은 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상됨에 따라 시민 안전을 최우선으로 사전 안전관리계획을 세우고 유관기관 현장 합동 점검, 교통 통제 및 주차관리, 화재 예방 등 선제적 안전관리에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

이강덕 시장은 “정월대보름 행사가 안전하게 치러질 수 있도록 유관기관과 긴밀히 협조해 안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 행사 준비에 만전을 기하겠다”며“달집과 함께 지난 액운을 전부 태워버리고, 2025년 을사년은 밝고둥근 보름달처럼 모두의 얼굴에도 환한 웃음이 가득한 한 해가 되길 기원한다”고 말했다.
