【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구광역시는 오는 23일 개최되는 ‘2025대구마라톤대회’를 세계적 수준의 대회로 운영하기 위해 11일 산격청사 대강당에서 김정기 행정부시장 주재로 ‘2025대구마라톤대회 최종 점검보고회’를 열어 각 분야별 최종 준비상황을 점검했다고 밝혔다.

세계육상연맹(WA)인증 3년 연속 골드라벨 대회로 선정된 ‘2025대구마라톤대회’에는 4만여 명＊이 참가할 예정이며, 경기종목은 엘리트풀, 마스터즈 풀, 하프, 10km 및 건강달리기 5종목으로 구성돼 있다.

금일 최종 점검보고회는 관련 부서 실·국·본부장 및 대구경찰청 담당과장 등 26명이 참석한 가운데 교통, 안전대책 및 대회 운영 등 각 분야별 최종 준비 상황을 확인하고, 미비점은 보완하기 위해 마련했다.

회의에서 발견한 미비점은 즉시 개선하고, 2월 13일(목) 예정된 집결지와 마라톤코스 현장점검을 통해 안전사고 제로, 참가자 불만 제로, 시민불편 제로 및 대회신기록 경신을 위해 마지막까지 최선을 다할 계획이다.

김정기 대구광역시 행정부시장은 “2025대구마라톤대회는 세계 최고의 우승상금을 놓고 최정상급의 선수들이 경쟁하는 국내 최대 참가규모의 대회로 특히, 올해는 대회 시기를 변경하여 선수들이 기량을 발휘하기에 최적의 날씨가 기대되는 만큼 좋은 기록이 나올 수 있도록 대회 준비에 최선을 다할 것”을 주문하는 한편, “교통통제와 차 없는 날 지정으로 시민들께서 불편함을 겪지 않도록 교통대책을 적극적으로 홍보해 달라”고 당부했다.
