【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교가 '글로컬대학30 K-MEDI 실크로드 비전선포식’을 개최했다고 12일 밝혔다.

지난 11일 대구 호텔 인터불고에서 열린 행사에는 변창훈 대구한의대 총장, 김학홍 경북도 행정부지사, 조현일 경산시장, 김광열 영덕군수, 김하수 청도군수, 홍원화 한구연구재단 이사장, 박상규(중앙대 총장) 한국대학교육협의회장, 양오봉(전북대 총장) 글로컬대학협의회장 등 지자체, 유관기관 및 대학 관계자 700여명이 참석했다.

대구한의대는 ‘글로컬대학30사업’에 선정을 기념하며 ‘K-MEDI 실크로드 개척’을 통한 혁신 대학의 비전을 선보였다. 

또한 한의학을 기반으로 지역소멸 문제와 지방 대학의 위기를 해결하며 지역과 동반 성장할 수 있는 전략을 소개했다.

이와 함께 경계 없는 교육혁신을 위한 지역과 글로벌 거점 17곳에 K-MEDI 노마드캠퍼스 설치, K-MEDI 융합산업기술원 설립을 통한 경북지역 중심의  바이오·재활의료·소재 산업 육성, K-MEDI G벨트 구축으로 한의학 초산업화 허브 조성 등의 계획을 발표했다. 

또한, 중앙아시아, 동남아시아, 유럽 등 글로벌 네트워크를 확장하며, 맞춤형 교육과 연구, 기술 사업화를 공동 추진해 K-MEDI 산업을 글로벌 시장으로 확산시킬 방안을 제시했다.

변창훈 총장은 “대구한의대학교는 앞으로 10년간 총 4,456억 원을 투자해 지역과 세계를 연결하는 새로운 혁신의 중심으로 성장할 것”이라며 “K-MEDI 산업 확산을 통해 지속 가능한 미래와 글로벌 가치를 창출해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Daegu University of Oriental Medicine announced on the 12th that it held the 'Global University 30 K-MEDI Silk Road Vision Declaration Ceremony'.

The event held at Hotel Interburgo in Daegu on the 11th was attended by approximately 700 local government, related organizations, and university officials, including President Byeon Chang-hoon of Daegu University of Oriental Medicine, Vice Governor of Gyeongbuk Province Kim Hak-hong, Mayor of Gyeongsan City Cho Hyun-il, Yeongdeok County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol, Cheongdo County Governor Kim Ha-su, Hangu Research Foundation Chairman Hong Won-hwa, Chung-Ang University President Park Sang-gyu, and Jeonbuk National University President Yang Oh-bong.

Daegu University of Oriental Medicine celebrated its selection for the 'Global University 30 Project' and presented its vision for an innovative university through the 'K-MEDI Silk Road Pioneering'.

It also introduced a strategy to solve the problem of regional extinction and the crisis of local universities based on oriental medicine and grow together with the region.

Along with this, plans were announced to establish K-MEDI Nomad Campuses in 17 regional and global bases for borderless educational innovation, foster bio, rehabilitation medicine, and material industries centered on the Gyeongbuk region through the establishment of the K-MEDI Convergence Industry Technology Institute, and create a hub for the super-industrialization of Korean medicine by establishing the K-MEDI G Belt.

In addition, plans were presented to expand the global network to Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe, and jointly promote customized education, research, and technology commercialization to expand the K-MEDI industry to the global market.

President Byeon Chang-hoon said, “Daegu Haany University will invest a total of 445.6 billion won over the next 10 years to grow into a new center of innovation that connects the region and the world,” and “We will create a sustainable future and global value through the expansion of the K-MEDI industry.”
