13일 경주시는 ‘경주시 친환경에너지타운 관리 및 운영 조례’ 일부 개정 조례안을 최근 입법 예고했다고 밝혔다.

이번 개정안의 핵심은 캠핑장 이용료 인하와 성수기·비수기 구분 세분화해 성수기(7~8월), 준성수기(5~6월, 9~12월), 비수기(1~4월)로 세분화하고 기존 카라반 이용 요금을 낮추는 한편, 신규로 조성될 글램핑 시설의 이용 요금도 반영할 예정이다.

또한, ‘경주시 폐기물처리시설 설치촉진 및 주변지역지원 조례’에 따라 폐기물처리시설 주변 영향 지역 주민에게 시설 사용료를 30% 추가 감면하는 내용도 포함됐다.

이번 이용료 인하 예정에 따라 4인용 카라반 기준, 성수기 주말 기준 17만 원에서 14만 원으로, 비수기 평일 9만 원에서 6만 원으로 낮아질 전망이다.

글램핑(고급형)은 성수기 주말 16만 원, 비수기 평일 8만 원으로 책정됐다. 캠핑사이트 이용료는 성수기 3만 3,000원, 비수기 평일 2만 5,000원으로 기존과 동일하며, 경주시민 대상 20% 할인 혜택도 기존대로 유지된다.

경주시는 이번 개정안에 대한 시민 의견을 적극 반영한 뒤, 다음 달 시의회 임시회에서 심의를 거쳐 인하 여부를 최종 확정할 계획이다.

주낙영 경주시장은 “이용료 체계를 합리적으로 조정해 보다 많은 방문객이 편리하게 캠핑장을 이용할 수 있도록 할 계획”이라며, “앞으로도 지속적인 환경 개선과 운영 최적화를 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 조례 개정안에 대한 의견은 오는 26일까지 경주시 자원순환과를 통해 제출할 수 있다.
