이날 발대식에는 이철우 경상북도지사, 권기창 안동시장, 김학동 예천군수, 강호동 농협중앙회장, 보건의료통합봉사회 소속 의료진 60여 명, 지역 농업인 등 약 300명이 참석했다.

농촌 왕진버스 사업은 의료 접근성이 낮은 농촌지역 주민들에게 찾아가는 의료 서비스를 제공하는 사업으로, 농촌 지역의 고령화 문제를 해결하고 건강 불평등을 해소하기 위한 중요한 정책이다. 특히, 고령화가 심화되는 농촌에서 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 큰 의미를 갖는다.
