【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경주 화백컨벤션센터에서 열린 APEC 제1차 고위관리회의가 성황리에 진행되는 가운데, K-컬처를 활용한 다양한 전시와 체험이 대표단들에게 큰 인기를 끌고 있다.

그 중에서도 경주의 핫플레이스인 황리단길을 그대로 옮겨 놓은 듯한 ‘황리단길 청년 감성 스토어’ 팝업 부스는 많은 대표단들의 눈과 입맛을 사로잡았다.

‘황리단길 청년 감성 팝업스토어’는 경주의 청년 작가들과 청년 사업자들이 모여 한국을 방문한 APEC 대표단에게 경주의 K-콘텐츠의 매력을 선보이기 위해 준비한 특별한 프로그램이다. 

전통 다과와 지역 특산품, 기념품 만들기 체험 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련되어 있으며, 십원빵, 달고나, 커피, 꽃차, 약과 등 전통적인 먹거리와 함께 캐리커처, 복주머니 만들기, 경주 향수 만들기, 한복 원단 키링 만들기 등 볼거리가 넘친다.

특히 21개 회원국 대표단은 이곳을 방문하며 끊임없이 즐거운 시간을 보냈다. 페루 대표단 일원인 플랭클린 톰슨씨와 까티야 빌체즈씨는 “경주를 처음 방문했다. 

경주의 아름다운 풍경과 함께 전통 음식을 즐기고, 캐리커처 그리기 체험까지 할 수 있어 정말 좋았다. 다음에는 가족들과 함께 경주를 꼭 방문하고 싶다”고 전하며 감탄을 금치 못했다.

김상철 APEC준비지원단장은 “경주에서 열린 이번 회의는 세계인들에게 한국의 전통미와 K-컬처의 힘을 널리 알릴 기회가 될 것”이라며, “중앙정부와 협력하여 대표단들이 경주에서 한국 문화를 체험하며 좋은 추억을 만들 수 있도록 최선을 다했다”고 밝혔다.

While the 1st APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting held at the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center is proceeding successfully, various exhibitions and experiences utilizing K-Culture are gaining great popularity among the delegates.

Among them, the ‘Hwangridan-gil Youth Emotional Store’ pop-up booth, which seems to have been copied from Hwangridan-gil, a hot place in Gyeongju, caught the eyes and taste buds of many delegates.

The ‘Hwangridan-gil Youth Emotional Pop-up Store’ is a special program prepared by young writers and young entrepreneurs in Gyeongju to showcase the charm of Gyeongju’s K-content to APEC delegates visiting Korea.

Various programs are provided, such as traditional snacks, local specialties, and souvenir-making experiences, and there are plenty of things to see, such as making caricatures, lucky bags, Gyeongju perfume, and hanbok fabric key rings, along with traditional foods such as 10-won bread, dalgona, coffee, flower tea, and yakgwa.

In particular, the delegations from 21 member countries had a great time visiting here. Mr. Franklin Thompson and Mr. Katya Vilchez, members of the Peruvian delegation, said, “This is my first time visiting Gyeongju.

I really enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Gyeongju, traditional food, and even the experience of drawing caricatures. I definitely want to visit Gyeongju with my family next time,” expressing their admiration.

Mr. Kim Sang-cheol, the head of the APEC Preparation Support Team, said, “This meeting held in Gyeongju will be an opportunity to widely promote the traditional beauty of Korea and the power of K-culture to the world,” and added, “We did our best to cooperate with the central government so that the delegations could experience Korean culture in Gyeongju and make good memories.”
