【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환)는 경상북도 RISE(지역혁신중심 대학지원체계) 사업 공모에서 총 4개 부문에 선정되었다고 밝혔다.

경상북도 RISE 사업은 '지역혁신선도대학(Regional Innovation System & Education)'의 약자로, 대학을 중심으로 지역 혁신 생태계를 구축하고 지역과 대학의 지속 가능한 동반 성장을 지원하는 프로그램이다. 이 사업은 대학과 지역, 산업 간 파트너십을 통해 지역 발전을 이끄는 대학을 선정하여 집중적으로 지원한다.

선린대학교는 이번 공모에서 K-U시티 인재양성 및 핵심기술개발사업 지역성장 (2차전지 등), 지역대학 3개 대학 컨소시엄을 통한 대학주도 수요중심형 다각도 포항형 창업 생태계 구축, 선린대학교 재난안전공유협업센터를 기반으로 한 환동해 지역특화형 재난‧안전 전문인재 양성 교육체계 구축, 외국인 유학생 정주형 교육 플랫폼 구축, 30만 명 시대의 포항 외국인 유치  4개 부문에 선정됐다:

이번 선정으로 선린대학교는 2025년부터 2029년까지 5년간 재정 지원을 받게 된다.

곽진환 총장은 “이번 RISE 사업 선정을 통해 포항시와 지역사회 성장에 기여할 수 있는 기회가 되어 기쁘다”며, “학생들에게 지역 정주 기반의 실질적인 교육을 제공하고, 지역의 훌륭한 인재로 성장할 수 있는 기회를 마련해 전국에서 손꼽히는 지역정주형 인재양성 혁신모델을 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

 Seonlin University selected for 4 categories in Gyeongsangbuk-do RISE project competition

Seonlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) announced that it was selected for a total of 4 categories in the Gyeongsangbuk-do RISE (Regional Innovation Centered University Support System) project competition.

The Gyeongsangbuk-do RISE project is an abbreviation for 'Regional Innovation Leading University (Regional Innovation System & Education)' and is a program that builds a regional innovation ecosystem centered on universities and supports sustainable joint growth of regions and universities. This project selects universities that lead regional development through partnerships between universities, regions, and industries and provides intensive support.

Seonlin University was selected for four categories in this competition: K-U City talent development and core technology development project regional growth (secondary batteries, etc.), establishment of a multi-faceted Pohang-type startup ecosystem centered on demand by universities through a consortium of three regional universities, establishment of a disaster and safety expert talent development education system specialized for the Hwandonghae region based on Seonlin University’s Disaster and Safety Sharing Collaboration Center, establishment of a permanent education platform for foreign students, and attraction of foreigners to Pohang in the era of 300,000 people:

With this selection, Seonlin University will receive financial support for five years from 2025 to 2029.
