지난 19일 열린 대구교총 제69회 임시대의원회 선거분과위원회에서 김영진 당선인이 당선증을 수여받았다.  임기는 2025년 4월 1일부터 3년간이다.

31년간 중·고등학교 교사로 재직하며 풍부한 교육 현장 경험을 쌓아온 김 당선인은 대구교총 최초의 교사 출신 회장으로 많은 관심과 기대를 모으고 있다.

러닝메이트로 함께 출마해 당선된 부회장은 박재우 서대구초 교감, 권기덕 학남초 교사, 염민선 오성중 교감, 최미희 영진전문대 교수다.

김영진 당선인은 “대구교총이 대구교육 중심축의 하나로서 선생님과 함께 대구교육이 안정적으로 발전할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”며 “특히 소통을 통한 회원들의 협력을 이끌어 내 문제 해결을 위한 제도를 마련하고 무너져 내린 교권에 대한 회복과 공교육의 정상화를 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
