본 사업은 '청도군 휴대전화 통화연결음 지원 조례'를 바탕으로 운영되며, 청도군민과 공무원, 출향인 등을 대상으로 무료로 제공된다. 군은 통화연결음을 활용해 청도군의 주요 정책과 관광자원을 홍보하고, 군민들에게 실생활에 도움이 되는 다양한 정보를 효과적으로 전달할 계획이다.

통화연결음에는 행정, 농업, 복지, 재난 예방, 농업 지원 정책 등 여러 분야의 정보가 포함되어 군민들이 군정에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 군민과의 소통을 강화하는 데 도움을 줄 예정이다.

또한, 통화연결음은 월요일부터 금요일까지 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 제공되며, 이 시간 외에는 가입자가 설정한 개인 통화연결음으로 자동 전환된다. 가입 신청은 청도군청 홈페이지를 통해 온라인으로 가능하며, 읍·면사무소를 방문해 오프라인으로 신청할 수도 있다.
