【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 도내 초대형 산불로 피해를 입은 5개 시군(안동, 의성, 청송, 영양, 영덕)을 대상으로 산림 분야 피해 조사를 오는 8일까지 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이번 조사는 도와 시군, 산림과학원, 한국치산기술협회, 산림조합, 산림기술사, 산림엔지니어링 등 산림 전문가들이 참여하는 합동 조사복구 추진단을 통해 신속하게 진행된다. 

총 5개 반 280여 명이 참여하여 산림 피해 및 복구 조림 면적, 산림휴양 및 교육시설, 토사유출과 재해 우려지에 대한 사방시설 대상지 등을 조사한다. 

또한, 버섯재배사 등 임업용 시설과 산림작물에 대한 피해액도 조사하고, 조사 결과는 국가재난관리정보시스템(NDMS)에 8일까지 입력될 예정이다.

경북도는 특히 산림작물, 버섯재배사, 조경수, 유실수 등 사유 시설에서 피해를 본 임업인들이 빠짐없이 피해 조사에 포함되도록 각 시군(읍면동)으로 신고를 독려하고 있다. 신고 기한은 6일까지이며, 피해를 입은 주민들은 반드시 신고할 것을 당부했다.

조사 결과에 따라, 산사태 발생 우려가 적은 지역을 중심으로 산림 생태계 복원을 위한 우선적인 사업이 추진될 예정이며, 우기 전에는 2차 피해를 방지하기 위한 긴급 복구 작업이 시행된다. 

또한, 정밀 산림조사를 통해 자연환경과 산림기능을 종합적으로 고려하여 내년부터 본격적인 조림 작업이 시작될 예정이다. 사면과 계곡 등 황폐화된 지역에는 사방사업도 추진된다.

한편, 경북도는 피해 조사와 함께 지난 31일부터 산불 피해가 발생한 산지사면 및 산림유역 등 산사태 우려 지역에 대한 긴급 진단도 시행 중이다.

조현애 경북도 산림자원국장은 “이번 산불로 강풍 등으로 인해 막대한 피해가 발생했다”며, “철저한 피해 조사를 통해 빠른 복구 작업에 나서겠으며, 피해 지역에 대한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do Province announced that it will conduct a forest damage investigation in five cities and counties (Andong, Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Yeongdeok) that suffered damage from a massive forest fire in the province until the 8th.

Based on the results of the survey, priority projects to restore the forest ecosystem will be promoted in areas with low risk of landslides, and emergency restoration work will be carried out before the rainy season to prevent secondary damage.

In addition, full-scale afforestation work will begin next year by comprehensively considering the natural environment and forest functions through a detailed forest survey. Landslide prevention work will also be carried out in devastated areas such as slopes and valleys.

Meanwhile, Gyeongbuk Province is conducting an emergency diagnosis of areas at risk of landslides, such as mountain slopes and forest basins where forest fires have occurred, along with the damage survey since the 31st.

Gyeongbuk Province Forest Resources Bureau Director Cho Hyeon-ae said, “This forest fire caused massive damage due to strong winds,” and added, “We will conduct a thorough damage investigation and begin restoration work quickly, and we will not spare any support for the affected areas.”
