【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 최근 발생한 산불로 피해를 입은 농어가들을 돕기 위해 200억원 규모의 긴급 경영안정자금을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

이번 지원은 도에서 운용 중인 농어촌진흥기금을 활용하여 무이자로 긴급 지원되며, 농기계, 비료 등 영농 활동에 필요한 자금을 신속하게 지원하여 농어가들이 조속히 영농 활동을 재개할 수 있도록 돕는다.

4월 1일 현재, 산불로 인해 6,200여 명의 농어가가 피해를 입었고, 3,400ha의 농작물과 1,400여 동의 농업용 시설, 5,500대의 농기계가 소실된 상태다. 피해 규모는 4월 8일까지 피해 조사가 완료된 후 더욱 커질 것으로 예상되며, 특히 비료와 농자재의 소실로 인해 영농 재개가 어려운 상황이다.

이에 경상북도는 피해를 입은 농어가들에게 1천만원까지 2년간 무이자로 융자 지원하고, 기존에 융자를 받았던 농어가들에게는 상환 기간을 1년 특별 연장하고 금년도 이자는 전액 감면해 지원할 예정이다. 이 지원은 농어가들이 재정적 부담을 덜고 피해 복구에 집중할 수 있도록 돕는 데 중점을 둔다.

긴급 경영안정자금 신청은 5월 30일까지 읍면동을 통해 가능하며, 기존 융자 상환기간 연장은 11월 30일까지 농어촌진흥기금 대출기관을 통해 신청하면 된다. 또한, 금년도 상환 이자는 피해 사실이 확인되면 일괄 감면된다.

이철우 경상북도지사는 “이번 긴급 지원이 산불 피해로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농어업인들에게 큰 도움이 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 피해 농어업인들이 신속하게 영농 및 어업 활동을 재개할 수 있도록 적극적인 지원을 계속하겠다”고 강조했다.

농어촌진흥기금은 1993년부터 운영되어 농어업 경쟁력 강화 및 재해 발생 시 긴급 지원을 통해 위기 극복에 중요한 역할을 해왔다.
