경북도는 7일 서울 글래드 여의도 호텔에서 ‘서비스산업 투자유치협의체’ 출범식을 개최하고, 도내 유망 서비스산업 육성과 실질적인 투자유치 기반 마련에 나선다고 밝혔다.

이번에 출범한 협의체는 호텔·리조트, 데이터센터, 물류 등 서비스 분야별 기업 대표와 전문가 등 21명으로 구성됐으며, 지역 특성과 산업적 강점을 바탕으로 맞춤형 기업 유치 전략을 수립·지원하는 역할을 수행하게 된다.

출범식은 ▲위원 위촉장 수여 ▲협의체 운영 방안 소개 ▲경북도 서비스산업 투자 환경 설명 ▲시군 호텔·리조트 투자 제안 발표 ▲투자 활성화 방안에 대한 토론 순으로 진행됐다.

경북도는 앞으로 연 2~3회 전체 회의와 수시 소규모 회의를 병행 운영해, 시군의 투자 제안지를 검토하고 투자 방안을 논의하는 것은 물론, 특정 안건에 대해 현장 중심의 실질적 자문을 강화할 계획이다.

특히, 이번 협의체 운영은 신공항 건설과 연계해 시너지 효과를 낼 것으로 기대된다. 경북도는 신공항 주변에 첨단산업단지와 주거단지, 생활 인프라 등 대규모 개발사업을 추진 중으로, 공항 경제권 조성을 통해 서비스산업 전반의 동반 성장을 도모한다는 전략이다.

또한, 교통망 확충을 통한 접근성 개선과 국내외 기업의 투자 유치 활성화를 통해 경북 전역의 경제적 파급 효과가 확대될 전망이다.

신승훈 경북도 투자유치단장은 “이번 협의체 출범은 경북 서비스산업의 경쟁력 강화와 지속 가능한 성장기반 구축을 위한 중요한 출발점”이라며 “지역 경제 활성화와 도민 삶의 질 향상을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeongbuk Province plans to hold general meetings 2-3 times a year and small-scale meetings from time to time to review investment proposals from cities and counties and discuss investment plans, as well as strengthen practical advice centered on the field for specific agenda items.

In particular, the operation of this council is expected to produce synergy effects in conjunction with the construction of the new airport. Gyeongbuk Province is currently promoting large-scale development projects such as high-tech industrial complexes, residential complexes, and living infrastructure around the new airport, and its strategy is to promote the joint growth of the entire service industry through the creation of an airport economic zone.

In addition, the economic ripple effect throughout Gyeongbuk Province is expected to expand through improved accessibility through the expansion of the transportation network and the activation of domestic and foreign companies’ investment attraction.
