9일 계명대에 따르면 전국대학육상경기선수권대회에서는 금메달 2개, 은메달 1개를 획득했고, 태권도 국가대표 선발전에서는 신입생 선수가 최종 대표로 선발되는 쾌거를 이뤘다.

육상부는 지난 4월 1일부터 3일까지 경남 김해종합운동장에서 열린 ‘제80회 전국대학육상경기선수권대회’에서 윤지수(체육학과 2학년) 선수가 3000m 장애물 경기에서 10분 36초의 기록으로 금메달을 차지했으며, 같은 종목에 출전한 임준영(체육학과 1학년) 선수는 10분 50초로 은메달을 목에 걸었다.

이어진 4×1500m 계주 종목에서는 임준영, 김시온(3학년), 강지훈(2학년), 윤지수 선수가 한 팀으로 출전해 17분 36초의 기록으로 1위를 차지, 지난해에 이어 2연패를 달성했다. 이로써 윤지수 선수는 개인전과 계주에서 금메달 2개를 획득하며 2관왕에 올랐다.

태권도부는 4월 3일부터 8일까지 전북 고창 군립체육관에서 개최된 ‘2025 라인-루르 하계세계대학경기대회 파견 태권도 국가대표 선발대회’에서 이승엽(태권도학과 1학년) 선수가 –54kg 체급 결승전에서 용인대를 상대로 극적인 역전승을 거두며 1위를 차지, 국가대표로 최종 발탁됐다. 이승엽 선수는 오는 2025년 독일에서 열리는 세계대학경기대회에 대한민국 태권도 대표로 출전할 예정이다.

정재정 감독은 “1학년임에도 침착하게 경기를 운영해 태극마크를 단 이승엽 선수가 매우 자랑스럽다”며 “다른 선수들도 제 기량을 충분히 발휘해 만족스럽다”고 전했다.

한편, 계명대 체육대학은 2025년도 국가대표 상비군 선수에도 4명을 배출하며 엘리트 체육 교육기관으로서의 위상을 드높이고 있다. 양궁부 김기범(1학년)과 장준하(2학년)는 남자 리커브 부문, 육상부 김동환(4학년)은 중장거리 부문, 검도부 이준혁(사회체육학과 4학년)은 검도 부문 상비군으로 선발됐다.

Meanwhile, Keimyung University's College of Physical Education is raising its status as an elite sports education institution by producing 4 players for the 2025 national team reserve team. Archery club Kim Ki-beom (1st year) and Jang Jun-ha (2nd year) were selected as reserves for the men's recurve division, track and field club Kim Dong-hwan (4th year) was selected for the middle and long distance division, and kendo club Lee Jun-hyeok (4th year, Department of Physical Education) was selected for the kendo division.
