이날 본회의에서는 ▲2025년도 행정사무감사 시기 및 기간 변경안 ▲행정사무감사계획서 승인의 건 ▲휴회의 건 등을 처리했으며, 포항시 자치행정국장으로부터 총 3조 195억 원 규모의 2025년도 제1회 추경예산안 및 기금운용계획변경안에 대한 제안 설명을 청취했다.

이번 추경예산은 본예산 2조 8,900억 원보다 1,295억 원 증액된 규모다.

한편, 시의회는 이날 오후 의회 지하 1층 회의실에서 2025년 청렴연수를 실시하며, 청렴한 의정활동과 건전한 조직문화 조성에 앞장서는 모습도 보였다.

이번 연수에는 청렴교육 전문강사 오숭록 씨를 초청해 ▲청렴 동영상 시청 ▲이해충돌방지법 및 청탁금지법 특강 ▲지방의회의원 행동강령 특강 등이 진행됐으며, 청렴서약식을 끝으로 마무리됐다.

김일만 의장은 “청렴은 공직자가 반드시 지켜야 할 덕목”이라며, “시민의 신뢰를 받는 포항시의회가 될 수 있도록 청렴하고 투명한 의정활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
