1996년 가수로 데뷔해 올해로 활동 29년 차를 맞은 이지훈은, 최근 TV조선 ‘미스터트롯3’, 뮤지컬 ‘노트르담 드 파리’ 출연과 유튜브 채널 ‘지아라이프’ 운영 등 다양한 분야에서 활약하며 꾸준한 활동을 이어가고 있다.

특히, 그는 지난해 포항에서 열린 ‘영일만 스타트업 데이’ 무대에 오르며 포항과 인연을 맺은 바 있으며, 조카 3명이 포항의 한동대학교에 재학 중일 만큼 개인적으로도 깊은 연고를 갖고 있다.

시는 현재 국토교통부 공모사업에 선정된 ‘기업혁신파크’ 조성을 통해 청년과 가족이 함께 정착하고 싶은 도시를 만들고자 관련 사업을 본격화하고 있다. 이지훈의 따뜻하고 진정성 있는 이미지가 지방 인구 감소, 저출생 문제 해소 등 사회적 과제에 긍정적인 메시지를 전달할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

‘기업혁신파크’는 창업 생태계와 주거·교육 인프라가 조화를 이루는 미래형 도시 조성을 목표로 하며, 포항시는 현재 국토교통부 및 국토연구원과 긴밀히 협력해 올해 하반기 통합계획 승인 및 인허가 절차를 목표로 사업에 속도를 내고 있다.
