【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구교통공사는 최근 경북에서 발생한 대규모 산불 피해 복구와 이재민 지원을 위해 재해구호금 4천여만 원을 긴급 지원을 결정했다.
공사에 따르면 지난 3월 경북 일대에서 발생한 대형 산불로 인해 광범위한 산림 피해와 함께 많은 이재민이 발생했다.
이에 대구·경북을 대표하는 공기업으로서 지역사회의 어려움을 함께 나누기 위해 임·직원들의 따뜻한 마음을 담아 자발적으로 모금을 마련했다.
공사는 전 임·직원이 참여한 성금 모금액 4천여만 원을 재난구호 기관에 기부하여 산불 피해 지역 주민들의 일상 회복과 지역 복구에 사용할 예정이다.
참고로 공사는 2022년 울진 산불 피해 복구 물품 지원, 2023년 집중호우 피해 지역 성금 지원 등 지역 내 재난 상황이 있을 때마다 지원을 이어오며 공기업의 사회적 책임을 실천하는데 앞장서고 있다.
대구교통공사 김기혁 사장은“이번 산불로 큰 피해를 입은 지역 주민들께 깊은 위로의 말씀을 전한다”며“공사 임·직원들의 작은 정성이 이재민들의 일상 회복과 지역사회 재건에 보탬이 되기를 바란다”라고 말했다.
