이번 활동은 영농 재개가 시급한 산불 피해 지역의 조속한 복구와 이재민들의 빠른 일상 회복을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 경북교육청과 3개 시․군 교육지원청은 총 40명으로 구성된 합동 대민봉사단을 꾸려, 산불로 모두 타버린 오미자밭의 넝쿨을 제거하고 폐구조물 철거 작업 등을 진행했다.

경북교육청은 이번 산불 복구를 위해 도내 교육지원청 간 자매결연 체계를 구축해 교육 정상화와 주민들의 일상 회복을 적극 지원하고 있다.

특히, 영양교육지원청은 칠곡․봉화교육지원청과 자매결연을 하고, 피해 학생 가정과 학교 복구, 농촌 일손 돕기 등 다양한 분야에서 공동 대응을 이어가고 있다.

임종식 교육감은 “산불 피해를 본 농가와 이재민들이 하루빨리 일상을 되찾고, 영농공백이 생기지 않도록 경북교육청이 최선을 다해 돕겠다”라고 말했다.

 Gyeongbuk Office of Education Helps Farmers Affected by Wildfire in Yeongyang

On the 14th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) and staff from the Chilgok, Bonghwa, and Yeongyang Offices of Education conducted a volunteer activity to help farms in Dapgok-ri, Seokbo-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, which recently suffered major damage from wildfires.

To recover from this wildfire, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education is actively supporting the normalization of education and the restoration of residents’ daily lives by establishing a sisterhood system between education support offices in the province.

In particular, the Yeongyang Education Support Office has established a sisterhood relationship with the Chilgok and Bonghwa Education Support Offices, and is continuing joint responses in various areas such as helping families of affected students and schools recover, and helping with farm work.
