【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장 곽진환) 입학취업처 취업창업지원센터는 지난 14일 오후 4시 만나관 2층 세미나실에서 ‘진로·취업동아리 및 창업동아리 지정서 수여식 및 간담회’를 개최했다.

이날 행사는 강근영 입학취업처장을 비롯해 동아리로 선정된 학생들이 참석한 가운데 진행됐으며, 진로·취업동아리 10개 팀, 창업동아리 10개 팀 등 총 20개 팀이 최종 선정됐다. 이들 동아리는 향후 다양한 역량 강화 프로그램에 참여하며 실무 중심의 전문성을 키워나갈 예정이다.

강근영 입학취업처장은 “동아리 활동은 학생들의 취업 준비에 대한 실질적인 동기를 부여하고, 창업 역량 강화를 통해 대학 내 창업 문화를 확산시키는 중요한 계기”라며, “현장에서 요구되는 전공 역량과 창의적인 아이디어를 바탕으로 한 도전정신을 키울 수 있도록 대학 차원의 전폭적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 선린대학교는 경상북도 RISE(지역혁신중심 대학지원체계) 사업 공모에서 4개 부문에 선정되어 약 19억 원의 사업비를 확보했으며, 2019년부터 2025년까지 교육부의 전문대학 혁신지원사업을 통해 총 224억 5천만 원을 지원받아왔다.

대학은 이를 기반으로 ‘미래사회에 기여하는 선도형 직업교육 혁신대학’이라는 비전 아래, 지역사회와의 협력 및 고등직업교육 내실화를 통해 지역 명문대학으로서의 위상을 강화하고 있다.

The event was held with the attendance of Director of Admissions and Employment Office Kang Geun-young and students selected as clubs, and a total of 20 teams were finally selected, including 10 career and employment club teams and 10 entrepreneurship club teams. These clubs plan to participate in various capacity building programs in the future and develop their expertise centered on practical work.

Kang Geun-young, the director of the Office of Admissions and Careers, said, “Club activities are an important opportunity to provide students with practical motivation to prepare for employment and to spread the entrepreneurship culture within the university by strengthening their entrepreneurial capabilities,” and added, “We will not spare any support at the university level so that they can foster a challenging spirit based on the major capabilities and creative ideas required in the field.”

Meanwhile, Seonrin University was selected for four categories in the Gyeongsangbuk-do RISE (Regional Innovation Centered University Support System) project competition and secured approximately 1.9 billion won in project funds, and has received a total of 22.45 billion won from the Ministry of Education’s technical college innovation support project from 2019 to 2025.

Based on this, the university is strengthening its status as a prestigious local university through cooperation with the local community and the enhancement of higher vocational education under the vision of a “leading vocational education innovation university contributing to the future society.”
