최근 대구시는 시내버스와 도시철도 연계 및 효율성 제고를 내세우며 10년 만에 버스 노선을 122개에서 127개로 확대 개편했다. 그러나 개편 시행 이후 26일간 1,902건의 민원이 대구시에 접수되면서 불편이 상당한 것으로 확인된다.

이에 황순자 의원은 “이번 개편이 책상 위에서 그린 지도상의 개편에 머무른 것은 아닌지, 시민들의 실제 삶의 동선을 충분히 반영했는지 되돌아봐야 한다”고 지적했다.
또한 ▶노선 개편의 방향성과 성과에 대한 자체 평가 결과 ▶지역별 반복 민원에 대한 실태 모니터링과 후속 조치 계획 ▶학생·고령층 등 교통약자 이동권 보장을 위한 노선 조정 의지 등 핵심사항에 대한 대구시의 답변을 요구했다.
황 의원은 “효율이라는 명분 아래, 시민 불편을 감수하라는 통보식 개편은 더 이상 설득력을 갖기 어렵다”며 “필요한 것은 큰 그림을 그리는 설계자가 아니라 작은 불편을 끝까지 책임지는 생활밀착형 교통 해결”이라고 강조했다.
