【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 오는 26일 시청광장에서 포항시 우수 농특산물 정례 직거래장터인 ‘영일만친구들 사랑장터’를 개장한다고 21일 밝혔다.

시에 따르면 올해 사랑장터는 포항시와 포항시산림조합이 농림축산식품부와 한국농수산식품유통공사(aT)가 주관하는 ‘정례형 직거래장터 지원사업’ 공모에 선정돼 이와 연계해 운영된다.

장터에는 지역 35개 농가가 참여해 26일부터 11월 15일까지 매주 토요일 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지 시청광장에서 열린다.

꿀, 채소, 과일, 장류 등 다양하고 질 좋은 지역 농특산물을 시중가보다 저렴한 가격에 만날 수 있다.

특히 개장일에는 ▲포항초 파스타 시식 행사 ▲타로 및 어린이 체험 ▲보건소 마음 건강 체크 및 비만 예방 캠페인 등 시민과 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 부대행사와 특별 할인 행사도 마련된다.

이현주 포항시 농업기술센터소장은 “직거래 장터는 지역 농가의 판로 확대와 소득 증대에 도움을 줄 뿐 아니라, 시민들에게는 신선하고 믿을 수 있는 먹거리를 합리적인 가격에 구입할 수 있는 좋은 기회”라며, “많은 시민들이 장터를 찾아주시길 바란다”고 말했다.
