【브레이크뉴스 경주】박영재 기자=경주시가 23일부터 24일까지 이틀간 황성공원 일원에서 ‘2025년 이동형 병원 설치·운영 훈련’을 실시하며 대규모 재난 대응 역량 강화에 나섰다. 이번 훈련은 국립중앙의료원 중앙응급의료센터 주관, 보건복지부 주최로 진행됐다.

경주시에 따르면 이번 훈련은 대형 재난이나 다수 사상자 사고 발생 시 응급의료 공백을 최소화하기 위해 개발된 이동형 병원의 실전 운용 능력을 점검하기 위한 국가 단위 모의 훈련이다. 보건복지부는 매년 한 곳의 지자체를 선정해 훈련을 실시하며, 올해는 APEC 2025 정상회의 개최지로 주목받고 있는 경주시가 대상지로 선정됐다.

훈련에는 중환자실, 응급소생실, 수술실 등을 갖춘 쉘터 6동과 외래진료소, 약국, 대기 공간이 포함된 프레임텐트 5동, 그리고 X-ray·CT 장비가 탑재된 특수차량 6대 등 실제 상황을 반영한 장비와 인력이 투입돼 현장 대응 체계를 실전처럼 점검했다.

훈련 준비는 지난 20일부터 시작되었으며, 훈련 종료 이후인 26일까지는 시설 철거 작업이 진행될 예정이다.

이번 훈련에는 보건복지부, 국립중앙의료원, 경상북도, APEC정상회의준비지원단, 경주시 등 유관 기관들이 함께 참여해 현장 점검 및 협업 시스템에 대한 논의도 이뤄졌다. 특히 APEC 2025 KOREA 정상회의 기간 중 경주엑스포대공원에 설치될 예정인 현장진료소의 운영 계획과 규모, 협업체계 등을 중점적으로 검토했다.

서길준 국립중앙의료원장은 “이동형 병원은 재난 현장에서 병원 수준의 진료를 가능하게 하는 핵심 인프라”라며 “향후에도 다양한 재난 상황에 대비해 실효성 있는 훈련을 지속해 나갈 것”이라고 강조했다.

주낙영 경주시장은 “이번 훈련은 APEC 정상회의를 앞두고 경주시의 재난 응급의료 대응 체계를 점검하고 보완하는 중요한 기회”라며 “시민의 안전은 물론 국제행사 대응 역량까지 겸비한 ‘안전도시 경주’를 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
