【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도가 산업통상자원부와 한국산업기술진흥원이 주관하는 ‘2025년도 No-Code 제조기술혁신 생태계 구축사업’ 공모에 최종 선정돼 총사업비 245억 원을 확보했다. 경북도는 이번 사업을 통해 중소·중견 제조기업의 디지털 전환 장벽을 획기적으로 낮출 계획이다.

경북도에 따르면 이번 사업은 경북도와 포항시를 중심으로 포항공과대학교, 포항소재산업진흥원, (사)경북ICT융합산업진흥협회 등이 컨소시엄을 구성해 추진된다. 특히, 프로그래밍 지식이 없는 현장 실무자도 손쉽게 제조 시스템을 설계·개발·운영할 수 있도록 하는 ‘No-Code 기술’ 기반의 제조혁신 생태계를 조성하는 것이 핵심이다.

‘No-Code’는 기존 소프트웨어 개발과 달리 전문 개발자가 아닌 일반 사용자도 직관적으로 시스템을 만들 수 있는 기술이다. 이를 통해 경북도는 IT 인력 부족, 외부 소프트웨어 기업 의존, 고비용 유지보수 등 기존 디지털 전환의 장애 요인을 해소할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

도는 이번 사업으로 테스트베드와 개방형 실험실 등 현장 맞춤형 인프라를 구축하고, 포스텍 중심의 기술지원 프로그램과 민간 주도의 지역 생태계를 운영함으로써 No-Code 기술의 현장 적용성과 지속 가능성을 높인다는 방침이다.

경북도는 이번 사업을 통해 지역 제조기업의 디지털 자립 역량을 강화하고, 비용 절감과 생산성 향상 등 실질적 성과를 창출할 계획이다. 더불어 사용자 중심의 혁신이라는 새로운 패러다임을 정립하고, 이를 전국으로 확산 가능한 모델로 발전시킬 방침이다.

이철우 경상북도지사는 “이번 사업은 경북형 제조혁신의 출발점이자, 수도권 중심의 디지털 기술 편중을 해소할 수 있는 중요한 사례”라며 “지방에서도 충분히 디지털 혁신이 가능하다는 것을 증명해 보이겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do Province has been selected as the final candidate for the ‘2025 No-Code Manufacturing Technology Innovation Ecosystem Construction Project’ hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, securing a total project cost of KRW 24.5 billion. In particular, the key is to create a manufacturing innovation ecosystem based on ‘No-Code technology’ that allows even field workers without programming knowledge to easily design, develop, and operate manufacturing systems.

‘No-Code’ is a technology that allows general users, not professional developers, to intuitively create systems, unlike existing software development. Through this, Gyeongsangbuk-do expects to resolve existing obstacles to digital transformation such as lack of IT personnel, dependence on external software companies, and high-cost maintenance.

Through this project, the province plans to build customized infrastructure such as test beds and open laboratories, operate POSTECH-centered technology support programs, and operate a private-led regional ecosystem to increase the field applicability and sustainability of No-Code technology.

Through this project, Gyeongsangbuk-do plans to strengthen the digital self-reliance capabilities of local manufacturing companies and create tangible results such as cost reduction and productivity improvement.
