기획재정부는 이번 점검을 통해 직무급을 도입한 186개 공공기관 가운데 우수기관 9곳을 선정했으며, 전체 공공기관은 총 327개에 달한다. 공단은 체계적인 인사제도 개선과 직무 중심의 조직문화 정착 노력을 높이 평가받았다.

한국원자력환경공단은 직무중심 조직·인사관리 로드맵을 수립하고, 이에 따른 주요 과제를 체계적으로 관리해왔다. 특히 단계별 직원 참여형 직무분석을 실시해 직무체계를 더욱 정교하게 다듬고, 직무 정원에 기반한 인력 재배치도 추진했다.

또한 노동조합과 외부 전문가가 공동 참여한 직무평가 개편을 통해 공정성과 객관성을 높였으며, 전 직원이 직접 참여하는 직무평가를 시행하는 등 직무체계 전반의 공정성과 합리성을 강화한 점이 이번 평가에서 우수기관 선정의 주된 배경이 됐다.

공단 관계자는 “앞으로도 직무 중심 인사제도의 고도화를 통해 공정하고 투명한 조직 운영을 실현하고, 국민 눈높이에 맞는 공공기관으로 거듭나겠다”고 밝혔다.
