이날 이 시장은 남고부(포항제철고)와 남일부(포항시 선발팀) 선수들을 만나 “땀 흘린 만큼 값진 결과가 따를 것”이라며 “포항 축구의 저력을 대회에서 마음껏 펼쳐 달라”고 응원의 메시지를 전했다.

포항 축구팀은 현재 전술 및 체력 강화 훈련에 집중하며 도민체전 우승이라는 목표 달성을 위해 훈련에 구슬땀을 흘리고 있다.
