【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항상공회의소(회장 나주영)는 지난 5월 30일 오전 10시, 선린대학교 졸업예정 학생들을 대상으로 지역 기업을 직접 방문하는 현장탐방 프로그램을 진행하며 청년 취업 역량 강화에 나섰다.
이번 현장탐방은 선린대학교 산업안전보건과 및 유아교육과 졸업예정자 총 38명을 대상으로 실시되었으며, 학과별로 2개 기업씩 나뉘어 총 4개 지역 기업을 방문했다. 산업안전보건과 학생 20명과 유아교육과 학생 18명이 전공 분야와 연계된 기업 현장을 직접 체험하며 실질적인 직무 이해를 높이는 시간을 가졌다.
특히 이날 프로그램은 기업 실무자와의 간담회, 전공 맞춤형 직무 체험, 현장 실습 등으로 구성된 직무 연계형 전공 실습 프로그램으로 운영돼, 참여 학생들의 높은 호응을 얻었다.
참가 학생들은 “교실에서 배운 이론이 실제 업무 환경에서 어떻게 구현되는지를 직접 확인할 수 있어 매우 유익했다”면서, “진로 방향과 취업 준비에 실질적인 도움이 됐다”는 긍정적인 소감을 전했다.
이번 행사는 경상북도와 포항시, 포항상공회의소가 공동으로 추진 중인 **‘청년일자리 로컬솔루션 프로젝트’**의 일환으로 마련됐다. 이 프로젝트는 정부의 청년고용 지원 정책에 발맞춰, 지역 중소·중견기업과 청년, 지역사회를 긴밀히 연결함으로써 청년 일자리 창출과 지역 경제 활성화를 동시에 도모하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.
포항상공회의소 관계자는 “지역 청년들이 현장을 체험하며 자신의 역량을 키워갈 수 있도록 다양한 취업 연계 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영할 계획”이라며, “앞으로도 청년 인재와 지역 기업이 함께 성장하는 기반 마련에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
