【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(사장 황주호, 이하 한수원)이 체코 신규원전 수주에 성공한 가운데, 17일 ‘2025 체코 글로벌 봉사단’을 현지에 파견하며 본격적인 문화·인적 교류를 시작했다.

이번 글로벌 봉사단에는 한수원 임직원을 비롯해 대학생 봉사단, 경주시 청소년 오케스트라팀, 태권도연맹 시범단 등 70여 명이 참여했다. 이들은 오는 24일까지 체코 트레비치 시에서 문화 교류 행사와 사회공헌 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

특히 신규 원전이 건설될 트레비치 시에서 국악, 태권도, K-POP 등 다양한 한국문화를 소개하는 공연이 열리며, 경주시 청소년 오케스트라팀과 태권도 시범단이 수준 높은 무대를 선보일 계획이다.

오는 20일에는 한수원과 경주시, 체코 트레비치시, 트레비치 예술학교 간 업무협약(MOU) 체결도 예정되어 있다. 이번 협약을 통해 예술, 교육, 청소년 교류 등 다양한 분야에서 양국의 지속적이고 실질적인 협력 체계를 구축해 나갈 방침이다.

이와 함께 봉사단은 트레비치 시 요양원, 초등학교, 예술학교, 유소년 축구단 등을 방문해 후원금을 전달하며 지역사회 복지 및 아동 교육 지원에도 나선다.

한수원은 지난 9년간 체코 지역사회와 신뢰를 쌓으며 꾸준한 글로벌 봉사활동을 이어왔다. 이번 봉사활동은 원전 수주 계약 체결 이후 첫 현지 방문으로, 단순한 경제 협력을 넘어 진정성 있는 문화적 파트너십으로 발전하는 계기가 될 전망이다.

황주호 사장은 “이번 봉사활동은 체코 원전 수주 이후 양국 관계를 더욱 견고히 다지는 출발점”이라며 “앞으로도 문화와 사람이 중심이 되는 지속 가능한 교류를 통해 신뢰할 수 있는 동반자로 함께 성장해 나가길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (President Hwang Joo-ho, hereinafter referred to as Hanwha Solutions) successfully won the bid for a new nuclear power plant in the Czech Republic, and began full-scale cultural and human exchanges by dispatching the ‘2025 Czech Global Volunteer Group’ to the local area on the 17th.

A total of 70 people participated in this global volunteer group, including Hanwha Solutions employees, university student volunteers, Gyeongju City Youth Orchestra, and Taekwondo Federation demonstration team. They are scheduled to hold cultural exchange events and social contribution activities in Trebic City, Czech Republic until the 24th.

In particular, performances introducing various Korean cultures such as Korean traditional music, Taekwondo, and K-POP will be held in Trebic City, where a new nuclear power plant will be built, and the Gyeongju City Youth Orchestra and Taekwondo demonstration team plan to present high-level performances.

On the 20th, a business agreement (MOU) is scheduled to be signed between Hanwha Solutions, Gyeongju City, Trebic City, and Trebic Art School in the Czech Republic.
