【브레이크뉴스 안동】이성현 기자=경상북도안동의료원(원장 이국현)이 7월 18일 호텔금오산 그랜드볼룸에서 열린 ‘2025년 경상북도 책임의료기관 성과공유 및 심포지엄’에서 2년 연속 ‘책임의료기관 우수기관 및 우수사례’에 선정되는 영예를 안았다.

이번 우수사례로 선정된 안동의료원의 ‘지역사회 연계·협력 모델’은 퇴원 후에도 의료와 복지 서비스를 끊김 없이 연계할 수 있도록 지역 유관기관들과 협력해 구축한 통합 서비스 체계다.

 2024년 지역 내 취약계층을 대상으로 실시한 서비스 수요 조사를 바탕으로, 2025년부터는 진료비 지원과 취약계층 연계 사업을 통합한 원스톱 모델을 도입해 주민들로부터 높은 호응을 얻고 있다.

사업을 담당한 안동의료원 관계 간호사는 “정책을 지역 실정에 맞게 조정하고 실행한 것이 지역사회의 신뢰를 얻는 데 큰 역할을 했다”고 전했다.

안동의료원은 앞서 2023년에는 ‘장애인 건강검진 네트워크’ 구축 사례를 통해 책임의료기관 우수사례로 선정된 바 있으며, 다양한 돌봄통합 사업을 추진하며 지역 중심의 공공의료 모델 실현에 힘쓰고 있다.

특히 안동의료원은 2026년 시행 예정인 ‘돌봄통합지원법’에 대비해 지역 복지 기관과의 협력을 한층 강화하고, 예방부터 재활까지 연계되는 지속 가능한 돌봄체계 구축에 속도를 낼 계획이다.

이국현 안동의료원장은 “이번 우수사례 선정은 지역사회와 함께 만들어낸 성과”라며 “앞으로도 필수의료 강화와 통합돌봄 기반 확대를 통해 지역 책임의료기관으로서 역할을 충실히 해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do Andong Medical Center (Director Lee Guk-hyeon) was honored with the selection of ‘Excellent Case of Responsible Medical Institution’ for 2 consecutive years at the ‘2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Responsible Medical Institution Performance Sharing and Symposium’ held at the Hotel Geumosan Grand Ballroom on July 18.

Andong Medical Center’s ‘Community Linkage and Cooperation Model’, selected as an excellent case this time, is an integrated service system built in cooperation with local related organizations to ensure seamless linkage of medical and welfare services even after discharge.

Based on a service demand survey conducted on vulnerable groups in the region in 2024, a one-stop model that integrates medical expense support and vulnerable group linkage projects was introduced in 2025, receiving a great response from residents.

The nurse in charge of the project at Andong Medical Center said, “Adjusting and implementing policies to suit local conditions played a big role in gaining trust from the local community.”

Andong Medical Center was previously selected as an excellent example of a responsible medical institution through the establishment of a ‘health checkup network for the disabled’ in 2023, and is striving to realize a public medical model centered on the local community by promoting various integrated care projects.

In particular, Andong Medical Center plans to further strengthen cooperation with local welfare organizations and speed up the establishment of a sustainable care system linked from prevention to rehabilitation in preparation for the ‘Integrated Care Support Act’ scheduled to be implemented in 2026.
