【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구테크노파크(원장 김한식)와 세종대학교(총장 엄종화)는 8월 7일 세종대 집현관에서 지역산업의 디지털 전환 및 인공지능(AI) 분야 협력 강화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 인공지능 대전환(AX) 시대에 발맞춰 양 기관이 공동 정책과제 발굴, 산학협력 생태계 조성, 지속 가능한 산업혁신 플랫폼 구축을 위해 협력하는 데 목적이 있다.

양 기관은 AI 관련 정책 기획 및 협력사업 수행, 세미나·워크숍·심포지엄 등 학술 교류, 그리고 실질적 연계가 필요한 다양한 분야에서 협력을 추진할 계획이다. 이를 통해 AI 기술의 현장 적용과 지역 기업의 디지털 전환 가속화에 기여한다는 목표다.

협약식에는 세종대 엄종화 총장과 한동일 인공지능융합대학장, 유성준 인공지능연구소장, 대구TP 김한식 원장 및 실무진이 참석해 협력 의지를 다졌다.

김한식 대구TP 원장은 “세종대와의 협력은 대구 지역 기업의 미래 성장 동력 창출에 중요한 전환점이 될 것”이라며 “긴밀한 협력으로 지역 산업의 디지털 경쟁력을 높여가겠다”고 말했다.

엄종화 세종대 총장도 “이번 협약은 학계와 지역 혁신기관의 유기적 연계로 AI 기반 산업 고도화에 기여할 것”이라며 “지속적인 교류로 의미 있는 연구와 성과 창출에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

양 기관은 향후 실무협의체를 구성해 실행력 있는 협력 모델을 구체화하고, AI 기술을 활용한 지역 산업 혁신 사례 창출에 집중할 예정이다.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sejong University President Eom Jong-hwa, Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence Convergence Han Dong-il, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute Yoo Seong-jun, and Daegu Technology Partnership (TP) Director Kim Han-sik, along with working-level officials, who pledged to cooperate.
