이번 지원은 대구시 산하 4개 공사·공단이 협력해 특별재난지역으로 선포된 피해지역의 조속한 복구와 주민들의 일상 회복을 돕기 위해 마련됐다. 대구도시개발공사, 대구공공시설관리공단, 대구교통공사, 대구농수산물유통공사 임직원 20여 명은 이날 토사물 제거, 배수로 정비, 집기류 정리 등 복구 작업에 힘을 보탰다.

또한 대구도시개발공사, 대구공공시설관리공단, 대구교통공사는 기관별 100만 원씩, 총 300만 원 상당의 긴급 구호물품을 피해 주민들에게 전달했다.

정명섭 사장은 “이번 연합 봉사활동이 피해 주민들의 생활 안정에 조금이나마 도움이 되었기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 기관 간 협력을 강화해 지방공기업으로서 사회적 책임을 충실히 이행하겠다”고 말했다.

대구도시개발공사는 이번 수해복구 지원 외에도 2025년 경북 산불 피해 성금 전달 및 현장 지원, 2023년 예천 수해복구 지원 등 국가적 재난 발생 시마다 기부와 봉사활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있다.
