이번 보고회는 경북도의 예산 편성 일정을 선제적으로 반영하기 위한 자리로, 포항시가 건의한 사업 규모는 총 210건, 824억 원에 달한다.

신규 사업은 ▲포항시립박물관 건립 ▲흥해 대련3리 진입도로 개설 ▲죽도시장 아케이드 조성 ▲양식장 전기료 지원 ▲포항 지구촌 엑스포 개최 ▲양덕정수장 배수지 위생관리 개선 ▲포항역 주차장 확충 ▲양학천 생태하천 복원 등 96건 203억 원 규모다. 시민 생활과 밀접하게 연관된 생활밀착형 사업들이 대거 포함됐다.

또한 ▲그린웨이철길숲 공영주차장 건립 ▲첨단제조혁신 테스트베드센터 구축 ▲구무천 생태하천 복원 ▲소규모 어항시설 개선 ▲청하 용두리 송수관로 설치 ▲70세 이상 무료승차 지원 ▲택전 배수지 개량 ▲내연산 보경사 시립공원 자연학습장 조성 등 114건, 621억 원 규모의 계속사업도 추진된다.

포항시는 보고회에서 제시된 사업들이 예산에 반영될 수 있도록 사업 타당성을 보완하고 경북도와 긴밀히 협의해 나간다는 방침이다.

장상길 부시장은 “지역의 핵심 현안사업이 반드시 도비 예산에 반영될 수 있도록 총력을 기울여야 한다”며 “광역과 기초단체 간 협력을 통해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 사업 성과를 만들어가자”고 강조했다.

Pohang City plans to refine the feasibility of the projects presented at the briefing and work closely with Gyeongsangbuk-do Province to ensure their inclusion in the budget.

Vice Mayor Jang Sang-gil emphasized, "We must make every effort to ensure that key local projects are reflected in the provincial budget. Let's work together with the metropolitan and local governments to achieve tangible project outcomes for citizens."
