【브레이크뉴스 서울】박영재 기자=포스코가 대기업과 중소기업의 상생 모델인 '국가인적자원개발컨소시엄' 사업에서 7년 연속 최고 평가를 받으며, 교육 분야의 선도적 역할을 인정받았다.
포스코는 4일 서울 드래곤시티에서 열린 '2025년 성과평가 우수기관 시상식'에서 최우수 등급인 S등급을 받고 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 고용노동부와 한국산업인력공단이 주관하는 이 사업은 대기업의 우수한 교육 인프라를 활용해 협력사와 중소기업 직원들의 직무 역량 강화를 돕는 정부 지원 사업이다.
포스코는 2013년부터 13년 연속 '자율공동훈련센터'로 지정되며, 참여 기관 중 가장 오랜 기간 교육을 운영해온 모범 사례로 평가받았다. 특히, 2019년부터 시작된 우수 공동훈련센터 평가에서는 단 한 번도 빠짐없이 최우수 등급을 기록하며 그 성과를 입증했다.
포스코는 작년 한 해 동안 협력사, 하도급사, 용역사 등 총 563개사의 임직원 2만 3,458명을 대상으로 용접, 천장크레인, 기계 정비, 전기 설비 관리 등 다양한 기술 직무 교육과 ESG 역량 향상 교육을 제공했다. 2005년 사업 도입 이래 현재까지 약 71만 명의 직원이 포스코의 교육 프로그램을 이수했다.
한편, 포스코는 이번 최우수 평가에 따른 인센티브 1,500만 원을 포스코1%나눔재단에 전액 기부하며, 지역사회와 상생하는 가치를 실천할 계획이다. 현재까지 누적 기부금은 총 1억 8,500만 원에 달한다.
포스코 관계자는 “지난 20년간 꾸준한 교육 지원을 통해 협력사 및 지역 중소기업과 동반 성장하고 철강 생태계 발전에 기여할 수 있었다”며, “앞으로도 적극적인 지원을 통해 상생 가치를 실현해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.

POSCO announced on the 4th that it received the highest rating, Grade S, at the '2025 Performance Evaluation Outstanding Organization Awards Ceremony' held at Dragon City in Seoul. Hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, this government-funded program leverages the excellent educational infrastructure of large corporations to enhance the job skills of employees at partner companies and SMEs.
POSCO has been designated as an 'Autonomous Joint Training Center' for 13 consecutive years since 2013, demonstrating its exemplary track record of operating training programs for the longest period of time among participating organizations. Notably, POSCO has consistently received the highest rating in the Excellent Joint Training Center Evaluation since 2019, demonstrating its outstanding performance.
Last year, POSCO provided a variety of technical training programs, including welding, overhead cranes, machine maintenance, and electrical equipment management, as well as ESG competency enhancement training, to 23,458 employees from 563 companies, including partners, subcontractors, and service providers. Since the program's launch in 2005, approximately 710,000 employees have completed POSCO's training programs.
Meanwhile, POSCO plans to donate the entire KRW 15 million incentive from this top rating to the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation, demonstrating its commitment to fostering shared growth with local communities. To date, accumulated donations have reached KRW 185 million.
A POSCO official stated, "Through consistent educational support over the past 20 years, we have been able to grow together with our partners and local SMEs and contribute to the development of the steel ecosystem. We will continue to actively support this shared growth."
