이번 보고회는 정부 국정과제와 내년도 정책 여건 변화를 반영해 실효성 있는 계획을 수립하고, 지역 현안과 신규사업 발굴 방향을 점검하기 위해 마련됐다. 보고회는 이날 일자리경제국, 해양수산국, 관광컨벤션도시추진본부, 농업기술센터를 시작으로 다음 달까지 이어지며, 각 국별 보고 후 시장 주재 토론을 통해 세부 실행 방안을 확정할 예정이다.

일자리경제국은 철강산업 체질 개선과 ‘철강 르네상스’ 실현, AI 특화도시 조성, 글로벌 혁신 경제 거점화, 청년·기업 행복도시 완성을 핵심 전략으로 제시했다. 이를 위해 철강산업 위기 대응, 도심캠퍼스타운 구축, 수소특화단지 활성화, 글로벌 AI컴퓨팅센터 구축, 융복합 바이오 특화단지 조성, 소상공인 금융 지원 등 미래산업과 철강산업이 공존하는 지속 성장 도시 조성에 집중한다.

해양수산국은 해양수산 기술 혁신, 활력 있는 어촌·어항 조성, 해양레저관광 활성화, 환동해 항만·물류 관문항 육성을 전략으로 삼았다. 포항 스마트양식 클러스터 조성, 블루카본 인프라 구축, 국제 서핑특화지구 조성, 북극항로 거점항만 육성 등을 통해 글로벌 해양강국 중심도시로 도약한다는 계획이다.

관광컨벤션도시추진본부는 체류형 관광도시 도약, 국제 경쟁력 있는 마이스(MICE) 모델 도시 구현, 해양·관광·산업 연계 국제 MICE 허브 ‘POEX’ 조성을 핵심 목표로 정하고, 2026 아시아태평양관광협회(PATA) 연차총회 개최, 생활관광 허브 고향올래 사업, 포항시-유엔산업개발기구(UNIDO) 워크숍 정례화, 포항국제전시컨벤션센터 건립·2단계 추진 등을 주요 사업으로 추진할 예정이다.

농업기술센터는 스마트 농식품산업 육성, 기후위기 대응, 균형성장 선도, 사람과 동물이 함께하는 행복사회 조성을 전략으로 삼았다. 스마트팜 실증지원센터 기반 신산업 육성, 수출종합물류센터 건립, 아열대 스마트농업 특구 조성, 신활력플러스사업, 반려동물 지원센터 조성 등을 추진한다.

이강덕 포항시장은 “내년도는 통상환경 변화와 저성장 시대 진입 등으로 경제 여건이 매우 어려울 것으로 예상된다”며 “국정과제에 맞춘 전략적 시책 수립과 국비 확보를 통해 지역경제 회복의 마중물을 마련하고, 포항이 글로벌 혁신도시로 도약할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 달라”고 당부했다.

The Agricultural Technology Center's strategy is to foster a smart agricultural and food industry, address the climate crisis, foster balanced growth, and foster a happy society where people and animals coexist.
