지난 30일 청주 오스코에서 열린 시상식에서 포항시는 전국 41개 대도시급 지자체가 경쟁하는 ‘다군’ 평가에서 우수한 성과를 거두며 특별상을 받았다. 지난해 경상북도 주관 시·군 일자리창출 평가에서 우수상을 받은 데 이어, 다시 한번 정책 성과를 입증한 것이다.

시는 이차전지, 바이오, 수소 등 미래 신산업을 기반으로 한 양질의 일자리 창출과 함께 청년·여성·중장년층을 아우르는 맞춤형 고용 지원을 추진했다. 사회적경제 활성화와 일자리 질 개선에도 주력해 좋은 평가를 받았다.

특히 ▲포항형 일자리협의체 운영 ▲지역대학 연계 인재양성 ▲창업·벤처 생태계 조성 ▲청년창업 지원 프로그램(플플마켓, 청년창업랩) 등 지역 특화 사례가 전국적인 주목을 받으며, 포항만의 차별화된 고용 전략과 경쟁력을 보여주었다.

Pohang City Wins Special Award at the 2025 National Local Government Job Awards
