Meanwhile, Gyeongju City launched a "Hygiene and Service Improvement and Eradication of Price Gouging Campaign" targeting restaurants and lodging establishments in the Bomun Tourist Complex and the intercity bus terminal area on the same day. Approximately 60 people participated in the event, including officials from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, North Gyeongsang Province, and Gyeongju City, as well as restaurant industry branches, consumer food hygiene inspectors, and YMCA members.

The campaign focused on promoting the seven key rules for preventing food poisoning, strengthening friendly and clean service, complying with mandatory price tag posting, and setting reasonable prices.
