【브레이크뉴스 경주】이성현 기자=경상북도는  15일 경주시 남산동 통일전에서 이철우 경북도지사와 주요 기관·단체장 등 1,000여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘제47회 통일서원제’를 열고 한반도의 평화와 통일 의지를 다졌다고 밝혔다.

도에 따르면 이번 행사는 삼국통일의 역사적 의미를 되새기고, 2025 APEC 경주 정상회의의 성공 개최를 기원하는 자리로 마련됐다.

개막식은 경북도립예술단 교향악단과 경주시립 신라고취대의 식전 공연으로 시작됐으며, 이어 상영된 AI 영상 ‘평화와 화합의 메시지’를 통해 삼국통일 정신 계승과 한반도 통일 의지를 표현했다.

주요 내빈의 헌화·분향 후에는 남성중창단의 축하공연이 이어졌으며, ‘희망의 나라로’와 베토벤 교향곡 9번 ‘환희의 송가(Ode to Joy)’가 공연됐다. 행사의 하이라이트로, 2025 APEC 성공개최를 기원하며 평화 상징인 비둘기 풍선을 날리는 퍼포먼스가 펼쳐졌다.

행사장 주변에서는 APEC 경주 홍보부스, 국궁 체험 등 전통문화 체험존, 미래세대 통일염원 그림 전시회 등 다양한 부대행사도 함께 운영됐다.

이철우 경북도지사는 “통일서원제는 삼국통일 정신을 계승하고 한반도 평화통일 의지를 다지는 행사”라며, “경주에서 개최되는 APEC 정상회의를 통해 경북이 통일과 평화의 상징 지역으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
