【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 오는 25일부터 26일까지 영일대장미원에서 ‘2025 포항 가을장미페스타’를 개최한다고 17일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 가을의 낭만과 도심 속 자연을 함께 즐길 수 있는 시민 참여형 축제로, ‘바다와 장미의 만남’이라는 포항만의 독특한 매력을 느낄 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이 마련된다.

첫날인 25일에는 어린이 장미그림그리기대회를 시작으로 ▲개막식 ▲장미그림그리기·장미굿즈 시상식 ▲청소년·지역예술단체 공연 ▲장미 묘목 나눔 행사 등이 이어져 가족 단위 시민들이 함께 즐길 수 있다.

어린이 장미그림그리기대회는 현장에서 진행되며, 저학년(초1~3학년)·고학년(초4~6학년) 각 50명씩 사전 신청을 받아 참여한다. 심사는 외부 전문가 3명이 진행하며, 총 20명의 수상자를 선정하고, 지난달 열린 장미굿즈 디자인 공모전 수상자들과 함께 시상할 예정이다.

행사장에서는 ▲포항시 고유 품종 후보종 전시 ▲청소년·지역예술단체 공연 ▲체험·홍보 부스 운영 등 다채로운 볼거리와 즐길거리가 제공된다. 특히 장미사랑회의 ‘바다장미축제’와 (사)경북생명의숲이 주관하는 ‘나무 나누어주기 행사’가 함께 진행돼 참여형 종합 가을축제로 꾸며진다.

둘째 날인 26일에는 장미 스냅샷 촬영, 장미 풍선 만들기, 장미 해설 프로그램 등 장미를 주제로 한 체험형 콘텐츠가 이어져 가족 단위 관람객과 관광객들의 발길이 이어질 것으로 기대된다. 영일대장미원은 포항의 대표 가을 관광 명소로, 도심 속 가을 포토존으로 주목받을 전망이다.

신강수 포항시 푸른도시사업단장은 “파란 가을 하늘 아래 피어나는 가을장미의 매력을 영일대에서 즐기시길 바란다”며 “천만 송이 장미도시 포항의 아름다움을 널리 알리고 도시 브랜드 가치를 높이기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
