【브레이크뉴스 봉화】이성현 기자=봉화군은 지난 18일 저녁 7시, 봉화송이축제 특설무대에서 열린 ‘제1회 전국 이몽룡 선발대회’ 본선이 관람객들의 뜨거운 성원 속에 성황리에 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 ‘춘향전’의 주인공 이몽룡의 실제 모델로 알려진 계서 성이성 선생의 생가 ‘계서당 종택’이 봉화에 위치한 점에서, 지역의 역사성과 상징성을 한층 더했다는 평가를 받았다.

대회는 청렴과 기개로 이름 높았던 성이성 선생의 정신을 기리고, 단순한 외모가 아닌 지성과 품격, 올곧은 인품을 두루 갖춘 ‘현대판 이몽룡’을 선발하기 위해 기획됐다.

본선 무대에는 전국 각지에서 예선을 통과한 20명의 참가자가 출전해 끼와 매력을 선보였으며, 치열한 경연 끝에 총 6명의 수상자가 선정됐다.

올해 첫 몽룡상(대상)의 영예는 신기성 씨에게 돌아갔으며, △장원상은 장명훈 씨, △방안상은 한도진 씨, △탐화상은 조종우 씨, △방자상은 이승찬 씨와 박하늘 씨가 각각 수상했다. 수상자들에게는 총 1,400만 원 규모의 상금과 트로피가 수여됐다.

행사 사회는 김도연(2025 미스춘향 진) 씨와 유튜버 김똘똘이 맡아 재치 있는 진행으로 현장 분위기를 이끌었으며, 트로트 가수 손태진과 코스탄 하스페(제1회 봉화 글로벌가요제 대상 수상자)가 축하공연을 펼쳐 뜨거운 호응을 얻었다.

박현국 봉화군수는 “이몽룡 선발대회는 봉화의 역사와 문화를 전국에 알리는 새로운 브랜드 행사로 자리매김할 것”이라며 “앞으로도 군민과 관광객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 차별화된 문화 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 발굴해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Bonghwa County announced that the final round of the "1st National Lee Mong-ryong Selection Contest," held at a special stage at the Bonghwa Songi Festival at 7 p.m. on the evening of the 18th, concluded successfully amidst the enthusiastic support of the audience.

This contest was praised for its historical and symbolic significance, as Bonghwa is home to the "Gyeseodang Jongtaek," the birthplace of Seong I-seong, the real-life model for Lee Mong-ryong, the protagonist of "Chunhyangjeon."

The contest honored the spirit of Seong I-seong, renowned for his integrity and spirit, and sought to identify a "modern-day Lee Mong-ryong" who embodies not just good looks but also intellect, character, and integrity.

Twenty contestants from across the country, who had qualified through preliminary rounds, competed in the final round, showcasing their talents and charms. After a fierce competition, six winners were selected.

This year's first Mongryong Award (Grand Prize) went to Shin Ki-seong, while Jang Myeong-hun received the Jangwon Award, Han Do-jin received the Bangan Award, Jong-woo received the Tamhwa Award, and Lee Seung-chan and Park Ha-neul received the Bangja Award. The winners received a total of 14 million won in prize money and trophies.

The event was hosted by Kim Do-yeon (2025 Miss Chunhyang) and YouTuber Kim Ddol-dol, who captivated the audience with their witty presentations. Trot singer Son Tae-jin and Costan Haspe (winner of the grand prize at the first Bonghwa Global Song Festival) gave congratulatory performances, drawing enthusiastic responses.
