‘사랑교’는 총연장 102m, 폭 2.5m 규모의 보행전용 경관교량으로, 곡선미와 조형미를 살리면서 보문호의 풍경을 한눈에 조망할 수 있도록 설계됐다. 교량 중앙부에는 아사달·아사녀 설화를 주제로 한 석가탑 형상의 상징 조형물이 설치됐고, 측면에는 아사달, 아사녀, 연화좌 조형물이 배치돼 사랑과 기다림, 만남의 의미를 담았다. 이를 통해 ‘사랑교’는 단순한 인도교를 넘어 신라문화의 미학과 감성을 아우르는 문화경관 명소로 자리매김할 전망이다.
공사 관계자는 “보문관광단지는 대한민국 제1호 관광단지로, 2025 APEC 정상회의를 앞두고 방문객들이 안전하고 쾌적하게 이동할 수 있도록 ‘사랑교’를 임시 개통했다”며, “잔여 공정이 마무리되는 11월 중순경 정식 준공을 목표로 하고 있다”고 밝혔다.
김남일 사장은 “이번 ‘사랑교’ 준공은 무장애 관광 인프라 확충과 문화적 가치 창출을 동시에 실현한 의미 있는 성과”라며, “앞으로도 지역민과 관광객 모두가 공감할 수 있는 안전하고 아름다운 관광 인프라를 지속적으로 확충하겠다”고 말했다.

"Saranggyo Bridge" is a 102-meter-long, 2.5-meter-wide pedestrian-only scenic bridge designed to showcase the beauty of its curves and form while offering panoramic views of Bomun Lake. A symbolic sculpture in the shape of a Seokgatap pagoda, inspired by the legend of Asadal and Asanyeo, is installed at the center of the bridge. On the sides, sculptures of Asadal, Asanyeo, and the Lotus Seated Seat symbolize love, waiting, and meeting. Through this, Saranggyo Bridge is expected to become more than just a pedestrian bridge, establishing itself as a cultural landscape attraction that encompasses the aesthetics and sensibilities of Silla culture.
A construction official stated, "Bomun Tourist Complex is Korea's first tourist complex, and we have temporarily opened Saranggyo Bridge to ensure safe and comfortable travel for visitors ahead of the 2025 APEC Summit." They added, "We aim for an official completion in mid-November, when the remaining construction is complete."
CEO Kim Nam-il stated, "The completion of Saranggyo Bridge is a meaningful achievement that simultaneously expands barrier-free tourism infrastructure and creates cultural value.
