이번 합동 수색은 '지방세징수법'에 따른 체납세 징수와 조세정의 실현을 위한 조치로, 대구시 징수전담팀과 대구지방국세청이 협력해 추진됐다.

주요 대상자인 고액체납자 A씨는 2014년 귀속 지방소득세 2억 원을 체납한 뒤, 대구에서 운영하던 부동산업을 폐업하고 사실혼 배우자 명의의 서울 성북구 고급 아파트에서 생활해 온 것으로 드러났다. 대구시와 국세청의 지속적인 추적 끝에 은닉 재산이 확인되면서 압류 조치가 집행됐다.

수색 과정에서 확보된 현금성 자산은 즉시 체납액 상환에 사용됐으며, 압류된 명품 가방 등 동산은 향후 공매 절차를 거쳐 체납액 해소에 활용될 예정이다.

대구시와 구·군 체납처분팀은 올해 9월까지 가택수색을 통해 고액체납자 25명으로부터 약 2억 5,600만 원을 징수한 바 있다. 시는 앞으로도 체납자 추적을 강화해 부동산, 예금, 보험, 가상자산 등 은닉 재산을 수시로 조회하고 강력한 징수 활동을 이어갈 계획이다.

오준혁 대구시 기획조정실장은 “납세 의무를 회피하는 고액체납자에 대해서는 끝까지 추적하고 엄정한 징수 활동을 펼칠 것”이라며 “공정하고 성실한 납세 문화를 확립하기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
